Hunters 16 and older need a Federal Duck Stamp to hunt waterfowl.

Nontoxic shot
Lead shot has been banned for waterfowl hunting since 1991. Steel, bismuth and tungsten shot are approved.

Shotguns must be limited to three shells for migratory birds.
